The UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme is open to Universities and other institutions of Higher Education and Research, which are recognized by the competent state authorities.
In addition, non-governmental organisations that are active in the field of Higher Education and Research, as well as other academic Organisations, inter-university or academic networks, state, local and private institutions that wish to connecte to the Programme of UNESCO Chairs/UNITWIN can also participate in the Programme.
Interested bodies must:

Inform in writing the Cyprus National Commission of UNESCO for their intention to submit an application for the Program, until the 28th of February of each year.

Study the guidelines (the link can be found in the attached document), complete the relevant application and to send it to the Commission, which is responsible to forward it to the Organisation.

It is noted that the completed application must reach UNESCO before 30 April of each year. Applications that are submitted after the aforementioned deadline will be considered during the following year.

The Commission remains at the disposal of interested applicants in order to provide advice and guidance for the completion of the application as well as for the procedure to be followed.
