The Cyprus Anti-Doping Authority (CyADA) was established in 2009 by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth as the National Anti-Doping Organisation for Cyprus. The Cyprus Anti-Doping Authority is responsible for the development and implementation of efficient anti-doping policy in Cyprus, which is in line with the relevant laws of the Republic of Cyprus, the international conventions and the World Anti-Doping Code.
CyADA’s main activities include:
- Doping Control in sport, in- and out-of-competition, and management of the results from testing.
- Information – Education against doping in sport.
- Collaboration with sport organisations in Cyprus and internationally, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and other National Anti-Doping Organisations.
- International participation, at the Council of Europe and the European Commission, for the development of the international anti-doping policy.
